Moi! (the extended version)

So, Lyssa, who are you exactly?

I have finished my freshman year of college (yayyy!). I work full-time and finished serving a mission with my church. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have Attention Deficit Disorder, Depression, Anxiety which makes life very interesting. I was my home ward's activity days leader (I planed, coordinated, and executed activities with 8-11 year old girls twice a month), but now my time is fully dedicated to mission prep, work, and a little play.

Mermaid is a silly nickname that embodies my appreciation of deep thinking and fear of shallow living (it's also an awesome song by Train ;D).

I began this blog summer of 2014. After I graduated from seminary I had too many unused devotionals running through my head, I needed a way to share them but I didn't just want to do it on Facebook. I also needed a way to share my testimony without going too far out of my comfort zone. And it hasn't been the same since!

I graduated high school with honors. I've graduated from early morning seminary. I'm almost ready to start my mission papers. Recently one of my posts reached 80+ views. I finished my freshman year of college with a 4.00 (phew!). I am starting my sophomore year of college with my degree in early childhood education.






Recently I've added another administrator to my blog so that she can help me post while I'm on my mission, and I imagine I'll have other purposes for her. She is a wonderful individual and I absolutely love her. Please welcome, KARIS!!!
